Quiz 16 - 10yo with excessive hair on the back

This 10 year old boy presented to the clinic with history of excessive hair on the back. He has had these since birth and is otherwise asymptomatic. Does not have weakness of his legs or loss of bowel/bladder control. No family history of similar condition. He is not on any medications. What is the diagnosis ?

I cant think of many differentials. This is classic image. It is distributed along the rib cage isn't it?

It may be a case of 'Spina Bifida Occulta' as they are usually asymptomatic and the overling tuft of hair may be the only indication of the underlying defect.
does he got any x-ray / CT scan of dorso-lumbar spine ?

The side and front pictures are confusing. They do not help make the diagnosis and in fact confuse us!
