This was classic but difficult. I thought of many differentials but after reading the explanation it could not have been anything else. My DD included: Rickets, SCFE (slipped capital femoral epiphysis - although he is very young), AVN (avascular necrosis of the femoral head), Multiple bone tumors, Non accidental trauma, bone dysplasia, heavy metal poisoning.
